Memorial service for Richard Carl Ransom, 76, Flagler Beach, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Florida Hospital Flagler, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, at the First United Methodist Church of Bunnell, with Pastor Beth Gardner officiating.

Richard was born October 4, 1930, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Richard Burk and Thelma Irene Ransom. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean conflict veteran. Richard worked as an electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 756, Daytona Beach. During his time with Local 756, Richard worked at the Cape for 13 years, and he also worked on numerous projects at Disney. Richard also worked as a theater projectionist for IATSE #279. He was a ham radio operator, and enjoyed fishing, traveling, and golfing.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Eva Ransom, Flagler Beach. Additional survivors include daughter, Beverly Zemlock, Palm Coast; granddaughter, Bobbi Sue Mundell and her husband, Robert, DeLand; great-granddaughter, Morgan Mundell, DeLand; niece, Marilyn Parsons, Wilksboro, N.C.; two nephews, Shawn and D.L. McCandless, Butler, Pa.; and many cousins in North Carolina.

Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
