A Funeral service for A. Willard Reese, 84, Palm Coast, who passed away Wednesday March 12, 2008, at his residence, will be held 2:30 PM Monday, March 17th in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach. His family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM service time Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler Beach.

Mr. Reese was born August 4, 1923, in Kingston PA, to the late Ambrose and Marjorie (Walters) Reese and moved to Palm Coast from Scotch Plains NJ in 1986. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran serving as a B-17 pilot in WWII, flying 30 missions with the 457th Bomb Group. Mr. Reese received many medals including The Presidential Unit Citation. He was a member of the 457th Bomb Group Association and was the Webmaster for their website.

As the first member of his family with a college degree (Lehigh University), he had over 30-years as a professional engineer in NJ. Mr. Reese and wife were charter members of the Palm Coast United Methodist Church and a founding member of the Palm Coast Computer Club. He enjoyed WWII history and tinkering with electronics. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Reese is survived by daughter; Diane Elizabeth Reese and her husband Charles Perkins of Saratoga CA, son David William Reese and his wife Marianne of Bridgewater NJ, two grandsons; Gregory Russell Perkins and Philip Austin Perkins, both of Saratoga CA; his caregiver Carmen Sanchez, of Palm Coast. Mr. Reese is preceded in death by his cherished wife Edna of 63 years September 29, 2007, to whom he was completely devoted.
