Thursday, May 19, 2011A Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Joseph A. Rego, 64, of Palm Coast will be held on Friday, May 20 at 1:00 PM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast. Burial will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today (Thursday) from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach.
Mr. Rego, a resident of Palm Coast since 1999, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Florida Hospital Flagler. He was born in Portugal on September 5, 1946 a son of the late Jose T. and Jacinta Coelho Rego.
A retired truck loader, Mr. Rego was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the Portuguese American Club of Palm Coast and the Vice-President of the Holy Spirit Committee. He enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Virginia (Resendes) Rego; one daughter, Jenny Rego; one son, Jason Rego and his wife, Cristina; a grandson, Dominic Joseph Rego; one sister, Maria J. Reis; and two brothers, Jose E. Rego and Manuel F. Rego.
Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
