Salvatore Reitano 

Salvatore Reitano, 86 of Ormond Beach, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Florida Hospital Memorial. Mr. Reitano was born August 24, 1926 in New York City, a son of Salvatore and Josephine Defranco Reitano.  

He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in WWII, and was honorably discharged January 14, 1946, and received the Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Sal enjoyed bowling, gambling, watching the New York Yankees, and spending time with his family. He moved to Palm Coast in 1999 from New York.  

Sal is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Mary Mannine whom he married January 11, 1947; One son, Anthony (Karelle) Reitano; two brothers, Cosmo (Joan) Reitano and Benny Reitano; four grandchildren, Michelle (Dave) Zanfardino; Salvatore (Leah) Reitano, Kristine (Adam) Reaves and Richard (Carin) Koziak; five great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Isabella Zanfardino, Kaylee and Alexa Reaves and Ava Koziak.  

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Salvatore Reitano.  

Family and friends will be received today from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach, where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM
