A memorial service for H. Edward Roberts, 80, of Palm Coast, who passed away at Halifax Medical Center on Sunday, February 4, 2007 will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 10, in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach, with the Rev. Harry Gilman officiating. His family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.

Mr. Roberts was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Harry and Anna (Reitzer) Roberts and moved to Palm Coast in 1986, from Augusta Ga., also having lived in Virginia and North Carolina. He was a Navy veteran serving in World War II. Mr. Roberts retired in 1990 as a mechanical engineer for Westinghouse.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Norma on December 16, 2006. They had been married for 54 years.

Mr. Roberts shared an interest in spiritual studies with his late wife, and was an active member of the Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach. He was a Master Gardener, enjoyed reading, traveling, politics and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Mr. Roberts was a devoted husband and was truly dedicated to caring for Norma when she became ill.

He is survived by three sons; Kenneth and his wife Beth, Arvada Colo., Keith, Broomfield Colo., Richard and his partner Jeffrey, Ponte Vedra Beach; one sister, Lois Hugus, Monroeville, Pa.; two brothers, Homer and his wife Janet, Bethel Park, Pa., Dale and his wife Nancy, Pasadena, Md.; three grandchildren, Taylor, Emeralde, and Benjamin all of Arvada, Colo.
