Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Robert L. Roberts, 74, Palm Coast, who passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House Palm Coast, will be held Wednesday 12 noon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy., Palm Coast. Friends may visit Wednesday 11 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Roberts was born in East Orange, N.J., on Oct. 11, 1933. He graduated from Cass Technical High School in Detroit in 1953, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at Wayne State University where he met his wife Joan. They were married July 1, 1966, in Royal Oak, Mich.

Mr. Roberts was drafted just before the Korean War ended and was a paratrooper and tank platoon sergeant with the 11th Airborne Unit in Munich, Germany. His college education was interrupted by his army hitch and while working for the railroad he continued his schooling on and off from 1957 to 1981 when he got his degree from Wayne State.

During his 40 years with the railroad, he was a National Accounts Manager for Automotive Plants and Vendors in Michigan and Ohio.

Mr. Roberts retired in 1993 and moved to Palm Coast from Bloomfield Hills, Mich. He and his wife, Joan, were supporters of the Flagler County Humane Society, The Museum of Arts and Sciences, and the Ormond Memorial Museum and Gardens.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his loving wife of 41 Years, Joan and their dog, Midnight; three sisters, Mary Brooks and her husband, Michael, Grand Blanc, Mich., Sandy Hamparian, Michigan, Ann Roberts, Illinois; and one brother, John Roberts, California.
