James C. Rodgers, Jr., 32-year-old son of J. C. Rodgers of Bunnell was found dead in his room in Jacksonville Sunday morning, apparently dying from escaping gas.
Mr. Rodgers formerly resided here with his father, but has been living in Jacksonville for about ten years, and was employed by a baking company.
Funeral services are to be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the First Baptist Church here, with Rev. J. W. Dixon, pastor, officiating.
He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Ann Rodgers of Jacksonville; his father, J. C. Rodgers, Sr., of Bunnell; two sisters; Mrs. J. F. Gresham of Bunnell, and Mrs. E. P. Thitiencher of New York City; two half-brothers, Wallace Rodgers of Washington, Ga., and Herbert Rodgers of Bunnell.
Burial will be at Hope Cemetery with Shelton Brooks, J. H. McKnight, Jr., G. C. McArn and Bob Ryles as pallbearers.
