Adolph Rubizzi, 87 of Flagler Beach died Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Stewart F. Meyer Hospice House.
Mr. Rubizzi was born September 2, 1930 in New York City, a son of Joseph and Adele Rubizzi.
He enlisted in the United States Army September 7, 1951 and was stationed in Germany. Mr. Rubizzi was honorably discharged August 15, 1953. Following his return home, he worked as a butcher in New York City where he met his soon to be wife.
Following his marriage, he worked as a mechanic for the New York City Sanitation Department. He and his wife moved to Flagler Beach in 1995. Mr. Rubizzi was a member of the Palm Coast VFW, and enjoyed working with stained glass, fishing and cooking.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Dorothy MacAdams, whom he married June 27, 1958. Numerous nieces and nephews, including Dilys and Danica.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Lino, and his sister, Eleanor.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach. Funeral Mass will held Monday, February 12, 2018, 10:00 AM at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Avenue in Flagler Beach. Interment will follow at Flagler Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Rubizzi's name to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.
