Barbara Wise Salthouse, 72, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Stratford, Connecticut, died December 22, 2006. She was the wife of Roy Salthouse.

The daughter of John and Elsie Adzima Wise, she was born March 19, 1934 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She held degrees from Southern Connecticut State Teachers College and University of Bridgeport.

Mrs. Salthouse was a retired elementary school teacher and media specialist for Stratford public schools. In Palm Coast, she was an editor at Pro-Video Data.

She was a member Sunday School superintendent of Holy Cross Orthodox Church of Ormond Beach, Florida; also, she was an ambassador for the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce, and a volunteer for the Flagler County School System. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks, Palm Coast; the Wheels in Motion Antique Car Club, and the National Education Association.

She had two daughters, Barbara Massoudi of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Catherine Recker of Palm Coast, Florida; two sisters, Mary Ann Ivanoff of Milford, Connecticut, Carole Weston of Stratford, Connecticut; three brothers, John Wise Jr. of Coconut Creek, Florida; Joseph Wise of Watertown, Connecticut, and Richard Wise of Coral Springs! Florida. She had four grandchildren.

Interment was in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens in Bunnell, Florida.
