Paul “Paulie” Martin Sammartano, 86, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Paul was born on September 16, 1928 in Richmond Hill, NY. He retired from the Long Island Railroad after 30 years. He moved to the Palm Coast area and worked for the local mosquito control for another 13 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 55 years most recently at the Bunnell Lodge. Paul was also active in local area politics. His hobbies included collecting model trains and building his own display with a 3 level village, he also loved animals and will be remembered as an outgoing and caring gentleman who was always willing to help when asked.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Starr. Survivors include his loving wife of 3 years Barbara; sons, Paul and his wife Sharon Samartan of Flagler Beach, Ronald and his wife Susan Samartan of Auburn, NY; brother, Richard Sammartano of Atascadero, CA; 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; step-son, Timothy and his wife Nancy Baacke of Johnstown, PA; step-daughter, Nancy and her husband Larry Stemberski of Miamisburg, OH; 6 step-grandchildren.  

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 2:00PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South. Flagler Beach. Friends may visit from 12:00 until service time at the funeral home. Entombment to follow service at Flagler Palm Memorial Gardens.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Flagler Humane Society.
