PALM COAST - Cathrine D. SanFilippo, 83, of Palm Coast, a former tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service, died Thursday at home.

Mrs. SanFilippo, a Navy veteran of World War II, was born in Clearfield, Pa., and moved to this area in 1989 from Farmingville, N.Y. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the Atlantic W.A.V.E.S. Unit 66, Daytona Beach. She was also a volunteer tax consultant. Mrs. SanFilippo enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, gardening, and playing bridge and Scrabble.

Survivors include a son, Christopher, Luther, Okla.; three daughters, Sondra Hebscher, Cecilia Touhey and Cynthia SanFilippo, all of Palm Coast; two sisters, Genevieve VanAtta, Oroville, Calif., and Hazel Kurtz, Williamsport, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
