LONGWOOD -- Michael Allen Sawyer, 44, of Longwood, the son and stepson of Palm Coast residents Ray and Linda Sawyer, died Friday while visiting Enterprise, Ala. 

Mr. Sawyer, a Navy veteran, was born in Mobile, Ala., and moved to Longwood 15 years ago from Alabama. He was a supervisor for Metal Essence Co., Orlando. He enjoyed fishing. 

Additional survivors include his wife, Miriam; a son, Jason, and a stepdaughter, Lynnette LeBron, both of Orlando; two brothers, Cayce Sawyer, Palm Coast, and Marty Kinard, Mobile, Ala.; and a sister, Amy Lewis, Ormond Beach.
