Selma passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.

She was born on February 5, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Edward and Lena Rubinsky (Selmon). In 1988 she moved to the Palm Coast area from Valley Stream, Long Island, NY. Selma was a passionate lifetime member of Hadassah. Since the age of sixteen she participated in and lead chapters everywhere she lived. Her performance as a local president and fundraiser resulted in multiple awards from across the organization and enduring love, support, and recognition from other members. She held an active membership as well in Temple Beth Shalom where she aided in organization and fundraising with the temple sisterhood. Selma also loved world traveling, boating, and being an incredible mother. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years Roy; daughter, Seena Polivy of Annandale, VA; son, Eric and his wife Marge Schaffer of Eden Prairie, MN; grandson, Jonathan and his wife Tania Polivy of San Diego, CA; great-granddaughter, Amber Polivy; great-grandson, Andy Killorin.
