A funeral service for Mary C. Schindler 89, of Bunnell will be celebrated on Saturday, February 15, 2014, 12:00PM at the chapel of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. S. Flagler Beach. Friends may visit from 10:00AM until time of the service. Interment to follow the service at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
Mary passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Florida Hospital Flagler. She was born on January 21, 1925 in Great Mills, Maryland. She and her husband of 63 years moved to the Flagler Beach area in the early 1980’s from Hollywood, Maryland. Mary enjoyed knitting, playing bingo and was a devoted church member at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Schindler Sr. in 2008 and a grandson, Steven Schindler.
Survivors include her sons, Edward Jr. and his wife Andrea Schindler of Bakersfield, CA; James Schindler of Lancaster, VA; several brothers and sisters; grandchildren, Eddie Schindler III, Robert Schindler Sr., Alissa Schindler, Melody Schindler-Bailey; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter.
