Dolores J. Schulberg

Funeral services for Dolores J. Schulberg 77 of Palm Coast will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast. Burial will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 12 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach.

Mrs. Schulberg, a resident of Palm Coast since 1993 coming from Baldwin, Long Island NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at her residence. She was born in New York City, NY, May 27, 1932 a daughter of the late John and Marie Hodge Johnson.

A retired attendance teacher for the New York City Board of Education, Mrs. Schulberg graduated from Hunter College and received her Master’s in Education from City University in New York. She was a member of Palm Coast United Methodist Church, the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the Flagler Women’s Club, the American Association of University Women, the African American Cultural Society, the NE Fla. Jazz Association, the Sisterhood of Temple Beth Shalom, Hadassah, and was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She enjoyed sewing and dancing.

Surviving is her husband of 36 years, Martin Schulberg, a sister, Gloria Lombard of Palm Coast, two step-daughters, Karen Schulberg of Kannapolis NC and Susan Schulberg of Staten Island NY.

The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1620 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. Daytona Beach FL.
