BOCA RATON -- Robert Jerome Schwab, 89, of Boca Raton, a former 24-year resident of Palm Coast, died Tuesday at Hospice by the Sea.
Mr. Schwab, a retired furniture and appliance salesman, was born in Binghamton, N.Y., and moved to Palm Coast from Rockville, Md. He was a member of Temple Shalom, Palm Coast where he was a former religious leader, the Masonic Lodge, Binghamton, and the Lions Club, Palm Coast, where he worked on audio books for the blind. He also was a volunteer at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed the Washington Redskins, golf and photography.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mildred; two sons, Joseph, Silver Spring, Md., and Nathan, Laurel, Md.; a brother, Manuel, Middletown, Calif.; a sister, Helen Smigel, Delray Beach; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
