A graveside service celebrating the life of Philip “Phil” Schwartz, 74, of Palm Coast will be held on Thursday, July 28, 11:00AM at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Rd S. Flagler Beach.

Phil passed away on July 26, 2016 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine. He was born on September 14, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Martin and Lillian Schwartz (Seltzer). Phil and his wife spent many years in South Florida and moved to the Palm Coast area to be closer to their family. He attended college on Long Island and spent most of his professional career as a draftman of commercial buildings.

His interest in building included his fifty year plus membership in the Masonic lodge most recently involved with the local Flagler Square Club.  He was a Boy Scout Leader for many years.  Phil enjoyed helping his wife tend to her orchids and collecting stamps and coins.  He was a member of the Palm Coast Stamp and Coin Club.  He volunteered in teaching adults to read and teenagers about drafting and building. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Carol; sons, Steven and Brian Schwartz of Palm Coast; daughter, Natalie (Lloyd) Krassner of Palm Coast; brother, Joseph Schwartz of Coral Springs; sister, Arlene; grandchildren, Simon and Caleb Krassner.

Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
