NEW BREMEN, Ohio - Steven Schweiger, 45, of New Bremen, Ohio, a former Palm Coast resident for 19 years, died Feb. 5 at Kettering Medical Center, Kettering, Ohio. Mr. Schweiger was born in Margaretville, N.Y.
He was an engineer manager for the Copeland Corp., Sidney, Ohio. He was also a former 20 year employee for the Witteman Co., Palm Coast, and volunteer fire fighter for the Palm Coast Fire Dept. Mr. Schweiger enjoyed woodworking, and making children's toys and furniture. He won several awards at wood crafting shows, including Pioneer Days in Barberville.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Marian; and his mother, Margot Schweiger, Palm Coast.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dayton Clinical Oncology Program, 3525 Southern Blvd., Kettering, OH 45429.

Memorial service for Steven Schweiger, 45, New Bremen, Ohio, a former resident of Palm Coast, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach, with the Rev. Doug Swann, pastor, Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Mr. Schweiger passed away Feb. 5, 2006, in Kettering Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio. He was born Feb. 10, 1960, in Margaretville, N.Y., a son of Margot Schweiger, who resides in Palm Coast, and the late Werner Schweiger.
He was an engineering manager at the Copeland Corp. in Sidney, Ohio, and a former employee of the Wittemann Company in Palm Coast. He was a former volunteer fireman for the Palm Coast Fire Department. He loved life, helping people, and truly enjoyed woodworking, making children's toys, and furniture that had won him awards at woodcrafting shows including the Pioneer Days Celebration in Barberville.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his wife of 21 years, Marian.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Dayton Clinical Oncology Program, 3525 Southern Blvd., Dayton, OH 45429.
Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
