The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass in the memorial room of the church. Entombment with military honors will be held immediately after in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Sekunda, a resident of Palm Coast for the past 13 years coming from Passaic, NJ, passed away on March 16, 2013 in Rochelle Park Township, NJ. He was born on December 31, 1930 in Simpson, PA, a son of the late John and Katherine Kolendra Sekunda.

A retired probation officer for Passaic County, NJ, Mr. Sekunda was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving the U.S. Army, a member of the Knight of Columbus, the Elks Lodge, the VFW and the American Legion. He was an avid golfer.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Sara; two daughters, Mateen Dinzes and her husband Richard of Clifton, NJ, Jamie Sekunda of Palm Coast; one son, John Sekunda and his wife JoAnn of Lake Hopatcong, NJ; eight grandchildren, Joseph Brunatti IV, Lee Anna Brunatti and Carly Brunatti, Jonathan Sekunda, Jackie Sekunda and James Sekunda, Kaitlyn Dinzes and Cassandra Dines; and two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Sekunda and McKenna Sekunda.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.

SEKUNDA
Peter James, 82, formerly of Passaic NJ, passed away March 16. Peter graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and worked m the Passaic County Probation Department for many years before retiring to Palm Coast Florida 13 years ago.  

Peter is survived by his wife 62 Years, Sara Sekunda, son John Floyd Sekunda, daughters Marteen Dinzes and Jamie Ann Sekunda, grandchildren; Jonathan Sekunda, Jackie Ann Sekunda, James Peter Sekunda, Kaitlyn Paige Dinzes, Casandra Dinzes, Joseph Charles Brunatti IV, Lee Anna Brunatti, Carly Rae Brunatti as well as great-grandchildren Paxon Carter Sekunda and McKenna May Jones.  

Celebration of Peter’s life be held at the Athenia Veterans Post, 147 Huron Ave, Clifton, NJ on Saturday, March 23rd at 6 PM.
