PALM COAST - Solomon Shur, 72, of Rydell Lane, who retired as a bus driver for New York City Transit Department, died Saturday at Florida Hospital­Ormond Memorial.

Mr. Shur was born in New York City and came to this area in 1990 from the Bronx, N.Y. He was a member of the stamp club and was a former treasurer of the New York City Transit Club, Palm Coast. He enjoyed wood carving.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Vela; two sons, Robert, Palm Coast, and Nicholas, Res­ton, Va.; a sister, Rita Palter, New York City; and three grandchildren.
