PALM  COAST  -  John  Edward  Skuchko,  92,  of  Fleetwood  Drive,  who  retired  as  a  depot  manager  for  the  Washington,  D.C.  Area Metro Transit Authority, died Sunday at Florida Hospital Flagler.

Mr.  Skuchko  was  born  in  Glassmere,  Pa.,  and  moved  to  this  area  in  1997  from  Hyat­tsville,  Md.  He was a member of St.  Elizabeth  Ann  Seton  Catholic  Church  and  the  Retired  Employees  Association  of  the  Washington,'  D.C.  Transit Authority.  A  handyman,  he  enjoyed  tinkering  around  the  house  and  crossword  puzzles.

Survivors include a son,  John  Jr.,  Burke,  Va.;  a  daughter,  Carol  Ann  White,  Palm  Coast;  three  grandchildren;  and  four  great­grandchildren. 

Memorial donations may be made to the St.  Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St.  Jude Place,  Memphis, TN  38105. 

Craig-Flagler Palms, Flagler Beach, is in charge.

Funeral Mass for John E. Skuchko Sr., 92, Palm Coast will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 1168 E. Highway 100, Bunnell. Burial will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach.

Mr. Skuchko, a resident of Palm Coast for the past nine years, coming from Hyattsville, Md., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Florida Hospital Flagler, Palm Coast. He was born Jan. 19, 1914, in Glassmere, Pa., a son of the late George and Mary Popp Skuchko.

He retired as a depot manager for the Washington DC Transit Authority and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Carol Ann White, Palm Coast; his son, John E. Skuchko Jr., Burke, Va.; three grandchildren, Mike White, Michelle Maynard and Daniel Skuchko; four great-grandchildren, Michael White, Josh and Sarah Maynard, and Jackie Skuchko.

The family suggests contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
