Jean Smuckler

http://mi-cache.legacy.com/legacy/images/Cobrands/News-JournalOnline/Photos/0726JEANSMUCKLER_20100725.jpgGraveside funeral services for Jean Smuckler, 96, of Ormond Beach, who passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Kist ALF in Holly Hill, will be held on Wednesday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach.

Jean was born on September 29, 1913 in New York City, NY to the late Max and Dena (Fraider) Braslowsky. She was the owner of the Junction Paint Company in Brooklyn, NY. Jean was a member of the Brandeis and of B'nai B'rith. She enjoyed music, playing the piano, dancing, and singing in the Chorus, most recently singing with the Upbeats. Jean moved here in 2004, coming from Deerfield Beach, FL.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Gary Siamon of Ormond Beach. Additional survivors include her four grandchildren, Paul Siamon, Douglas Siamon, Michael Smuckler, and Dariel Smuckler; her four great-grandchildren, Zoe, David, Rachel, and Deric Siamon; and her daughter-in-law, Carol Smuckler.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, her son, Gerald, and her brother, Abe Breslow.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Jean to the Vitas Hospice, 533 N. Nova Rd., Suite 206, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
