August 7, 1971 – June 29, 2023



Sokleang Lynn Som, 51, of Palm Coast, entered into the arms of the Lord June 29, 2023. Sokleang was born to Khel and Lon Thy, August 7, 1971, in Battambang, Cambodia. Sokleang and her family immigrated to the United States as refugees of the Cambodian Civil War (the Khmer Rouge) in 1985. They settled in Providence, Rhode Island where Sokleang met and later married her husband, Ros Som on June 1, 1991.

She is survived by her husband, Ros Som; daughters, Ledia Shams and Linda Som (fiancé, Anthony); son, Ravy Som; parents, Khel and Lon Thy; sister Sokhalay Thy (Patrick Sylvestre); brothers, Sokhourn Thy (Trudy), David Thy; Daneyel Thy (Elizabeth), and Samuel Thy (Monica), as well as a large extended family.

Sokleang was a wonderful hardworking woman who loved God and her family. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, shopping, and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed.

Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home will handle the arrangements. There will be a Visitation on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 5-7pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 9 am with a burial to follow. A Funeral Reception hosted by Sokleang’s family will be held from 12pm-2pm at the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy NE, Palm Coast, FL 32137.
