Jean Mae Sparkes 89, of Palm Coast, peacefully passed away at her home on January 10, 2015.  She was born on November 17, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Elsa Miller.
 
Shortly after her birth the family moved to Washington, D.C. Jean was an executive administrative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives for many years before retiring and moving to Palm Coast and pursuing a successful career in real estate as well as cruising around the world with Lothar Voss. 

Jean will be greatly missed by her devoted companion and best friend, Lothar Voss; her two Daughters, Elaine Begeman of Palm Coast, Toni Delano Orlin of Marietta, GA; her three grandchildren, Susan Brown of Potomac Falls, VA, Andrew Delano of Spokane, WA, Robert Delano of Marietta, GA; and her great grandson, Jordan Brown of Potomac Falls, VA.
Donations in her memory may be made to Halifax Hospice.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, 12:00PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South Flagler Beach. Interment will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 11:00AM to time of the service.
