EDWARD A. STATHAM SANG AT WHITE HOUSE
Edward A. Statham of Palm Coast. Fla., formerly of Plainfield, died Yesterday (Aug. 21, 1991).
Mr. Statham was born in Manhattan. He lived in Plainfield from 1933 to 1966 before moving to Pine Brook. He moved to Palm Coast in 1975.
He was a marketing and sales manager for New York Telephone before retiring.
He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Palm Coast, the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla Chapter 14-3, the Palm Coast Toasters, a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a 57-year Master Mason.
He was a professional soloist with the Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church in Plainfield.
Mr. Statham was a former winner of the Ted Mack Amateur Hour and sang with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. He also performed as a soloist at the White House.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Statham; two son, Edward of Renton, Wash., and Stuart of Darnestown, Md.; a sister, Ruth Unger of Reno, Nev.; and five grandchildren.
