Graveside services for Bernice Z. Statman, 89, Palm Coast, will be held Sunday, January 7, at 10 a.m. in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Statman, a resident of Palm Coast since 1994 coming from Caldwell, N.J., passed away January 4, 2007, at Alterra Sterling House, Palm Coast. She was born January 28, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a retired high school teacher and college professor.
Mrs. Statman was a member of the New Jersey Teachers Association, the National Education Association, and has several of her poems published in the local area. She enjoyed acting and had directed several plays.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Dr. Irving J. Statman.
Survivors include two sons, Alan Statman, Vienna, Va., and Richard Statman, Pittsburgh, Pa.; sister, Lucille Mann, New York; and two grandchildren. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are under the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.

PALM COAST - Bernice Z. Statman, 89, of Clubhouse Drive, a retired school teacher and a professor, died Thursday at Alterra Sterling House.
Mrs. Statman was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area in 1994 from Caldwell, N.J. She was a member of the New Jersey Teachers Asscoiation and the National Educational Association. She had several poems published in the Palm Coast area and enjoyed acting and directing plays.
Survivors include two sons, Alan, Vienna, Va., and Richard, Pittsburgh; a sister, Lucille Mann, New York; and two grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
