A funeral mass for Edward Steckler will be celebrated on Friday, December 28, 2012, 11:00AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Edward passed away on December 25, 2012 after a brief struggle with cancer.

Mr. Steckler, known to his family as Keith, was born on October 8, 1932 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois to Fred and Helen Steckler. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL., and became a pharmaceutical salesman in Florida for over 30 years. He also was a veteran having proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in the medical corps (1953-1955).

He was a member of the Italian American Social Club, Palm Coast Elks and had a passion for ball room dancing. He also served as the board member of his homeowners association.

Keith is survived by his devoted and loving companion Helen Dougherty, along with her son with wife Bill and Murielle Dougherty, daughter with husband Diane and Scott Nieminen, son, John Doughterty, Jr., Ed's sister Janet and husband Will Lux, brother David and wife Karen Sweet, and many nieces and nephews.

Keith will always be remembered as a kind, caring and giving individual loved by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Ed Steckler, wife Ann and sister Doris Ann Marx.
