BUNNELL - Vernon C. Steen, 85, of County Road 304, a resident since 1982, died Friday at Florida Hospital-Flagler.

Mr. Steen, an Army veteran of World War II, moved here from his native Detroit. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and was a founding member of the Elks Lodge No. 2709, Palm Coast. Mr. Steen enjoyed golf and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Anna; two daughters, Karen Cote, Bunnell, and Marilyn McCandless, Cary, N.C.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Craig-Flagler Palms, Flagler Beach, is in charge.
