PALM COAST - Hugh M. Sykes, 74, of Willow Grove Place, a retired technician for DeSears Appliance Service Co., Bradenton, died Thursday at Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine. 

Mr. Sykes, a native of Mineola, N.Y., moved here in 1999 from Sarasota. He enjoyed watching old movies and television. 

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Barbara; three sons, Lee, Patchogue, N.Y., Clay, Hicksville, N.Y., and Mark, Levittown, N.Y.; two daughters, Karen Kewes, Shirley, N.Y., and Dawn Sykes, Seldon, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Craig-Flagler Palms, Flagler Beach, is in charge.
