Elena L. Aleixo Teixeira



Elena L. Aleixo Teixeira, 92, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away suddenly on July 17, 2022. She was born on January 27, 1930 in Mogofores, Anadia, Portugal to the late Manuel Rodrigues Aleixo and Maria Loura Aleixo. In 1966, she and her husband emigrated to the United States and settled in Newark, New Jersey, where they raised their family. Elena worked as a seamstress for the Gambert Brothers who were shirt makers.

In 2009, they decided they wanted to retire to sunny Palm Coast, Florida. Once there, she became a member of the Portuguese American Club of Palm Coast. Elena will always be remembered for her loving kindness and her love of Red Wine and Sweets, especially her love of chocolate!

Elena was preceded in death by her siblings and parents. Survivors include her loving husband of 71 years, Alexandre Norton Teixeira; children Maria Manuela Teixeira-Da Luz, Norton Manuel Teixeira, and João Louro-Aleixo Teixeira; grandchildren Norton Manuel Teixeira, Sandy Marie Disney, Michael Manuel Teixeira, Ruben Rego, Daniela Teixeira, Michelle Alexandra Delpopolo, Christopher Aleixo Teixeira, John Alexandre Teixeira, and Elena Ann Teixeira; great-grandchildren Bryana Teixeira, Vivian Teixeira, Nevaeh Teixeira, Haley Martin, Katelyn Martin, and Savannah Disney, and many more loving relatives and wonderful friends.

A visitation for Elena will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Memorial Room, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32164. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32164. An entombment will occur Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Flagler Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136.
