Funeral Services for Charles N. Timus, 72, of Palm Coast, will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 75 Pine Lakes Parkway, Palm Coast.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Entombment will be in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Timus, a resident of Palm Coast since 1991 coming from Laurelton NY, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in the Bailey Care Center in St. Augustine. He was born in Queens, NY September 28, 1938, a son of the late William and Sophorina Johnson Timus.
A retired bus operator for the New York City Transit Authority, Mr. Timus was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, the retired NY Transit Workers Association of Palm Coast and the African-American Cultural Society. He enjoyed cooking and being a handyman around the house.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years Carolyn; one daughter, Denise Paul of Atlantam GA; one grandson, Regi Veale of Palm Coast; and four sisters, Barbara Fletcher, Millicent Fountain, Sophronia Durden and Irma Woody all of New York.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
