Funeral services were held at two o'clock this afternoon at the Baggett-McIntosh Chapel in Daytona Beach for Mrs. Christine Tolan, long-time resident of Flagler Beach who died early Saturday morning in the Halifax Hospital. Burial was in Hope Cemetery near Flagler Beach.
Mrs. Tolan had lived in Flagler Beach for the past 30 years. She was engaged in the real estate business, and active in civic and social clubs. She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage at her home early Friday evening and was carried to the hospital.
A native of Lawrence, Kansas, she lived for a number of years in Anaconda, Montana, before coming to Florida to live. She was a graduate of Kansas University and had post graduate work at the University of Minneapolis.
She was the widow of the late R. S. Tolan of Flagler Beach. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Olive Celeste Tolan Murray of St. Petersburg; one sister, Mrs. Otto A. Fischer and one brother, Francis Jaedieke, both of Lawrence, Kansas.
Active pallbearers were: J. W. Green, H. T. Cook, A. D. Stuckey, K. W. Lord, George Moody, D. D. Moody and William Chimpky.
