Benjamin Anthony Tripodi 78 of Palm Coast FL, formerly of Elmwood Park NJ, passed away on November 27,2008 at his home with his family by his side. Born on September 2, 1930 to Rose (Colucci) and Charles Tripodi, Ben lived in New York City for 38 years before moving to Elmwood Parke (formerly East Paterson), NJ in 1968, where he lived until retirement, ultimately settling in Palm Coast FL.

Ben was the owner and operator of Artri Dresses in New York City for two decades. He was also an employee of the New York City Department of Sanitation for 17 years. Ben, a United States Army Veteran, was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War. He loved to build and fly radio control airplanes, was a member of the Flagler County RAMS and enjoyed boating, the beach and the company of his family and friends.

Ben is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marion (Di Franco); daughters, Rosemarie Scarpa and husband Michael, Diane Pitak and husband Glen, and Tina Oetting and husband Tom; grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, and Melissa Scarpa, Nicole and Thomas Oetting, great granddaughter, Brooke Wilson; sister, Yolanda Nevoso; brother, Charles Tripodi and his wife Elaine and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Nevoso.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 1 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach where a prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, December 2 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast. Entombment will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
