A funeral mass for Mary J. Turchette 101, of Palm Coast will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 2:00PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast. Interment to follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit on Tuesday, from 10:00-1:30PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
Mary was born September 11, 1910 in Newark, NJ to the late Peter and Ernesta Battoglia (Rossi). She moved to the Palm Coast area in 1998 from Nutley, NJ. Her memberships included St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, NJ. Mary enjoyed knitting, reading, listening to opera and solving crossword puzzles but her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her beloved family. She was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Ernest Turchette in 2007.
Survivors include her daughters, Janet and her husband David Jennings of Palm Coast; Judy and her husband Paul Redfern Sr. of West Caldwell, NJ; grandchildren, Susannah Geyer, Eric Geyer, Paul Redfern Jr., Gretchen Griffin, Christopher Redfern, Ryan Redfern; great-grandchildren, Paul Redfern III, Vance Geyer, Kaitlyn Redfern, Natalie Griffin, Benjamin Redfern.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Services are in the care and trust of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
