CLARENCE N. TURNQUIST, 82, Palm Coast, a retired electrical engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration, died Friday.

A celebration of life service for Clarence N. Turnquist 82, of Palm Coast will be held on Saturday, 11:00AM at the Palm Coast Bible Church. Clarence passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011 at his home.
He was born on October 10, 1928 in Evanston, IL to the late Nels and Ellen Turnquist (Sandberg). As a young man he served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Clarence served in the Federal Aviation Administration in several locations including Chicago, IL and Green Bay, Wisc.
After 30 years of service he retired from the FAA. In 1991 he moved to the Palm Coast area from Maryland. Clarence was a member of Palm Coast Bible Church and NARFE. He worked for Palm Coast Christian School for IO years and Skyway Builders for IO years. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work, computers and was known as "Mr. Fix it".
He was preceded in death by his first wife Carolyn in 1998.
Survivors include his wife of 6 years Paula of Palm Coast; sons, Bruce and his wife Eve of Arnold, MD, Brian and his wife Jennifer of Arden Hills, MN, James and his wife Andrea of Excelsior, MN. Daughter, Ruth and her husband Walter Mielke of Pasadena, CA; Step-son, Robert and his wife Gayle Baker of Kingston, GA. Step-daughters, Laura and her husband Michael Kelly of Windham, NH. Mary and her husband Terry Clay of Palm Coast; brother, Paul and his wife Muriel of Independence, MO. Sisters, Julie Turnquist of Edina, MN, Lillian and her husband David Russell of Omaha, NB; 13 grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
Services are in the care and trust of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
