A memorial service for Walter F. Twelbeck, 84, of Palm Coast, who passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at his home, will be celebrated at 11:00AM Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the Palm Coast Elks Lodge, 53 Old Kings Road N.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM-8:00 PM today (Monday, January 5, 2009) at the chapel of Craig- Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach.
Mr. Twelbeck was born on May 6, 1924 in New York City to the late Frederick and Anna Twelbeck (Klein). He served in the US Air Force during World War II. After retiring as a Deputy Sheriff, who worked out of the family court in Westbury, Long Island, he and his wife moved to the Palm Coast area. He enjoyed woodworking, coin collecting, crossword puzzles and playing golf.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Doris; daughters, Kathy and her husband, Michael Gallo of Des Moines, IA; Donna and her husband, John Eppedio of Palm Coast; Gail and her hus band, Greg Hanley of Woodbury, CT; grandchildren, Christopher and his wife, Jennifer Grimes, Lauren and her husband, Cory Heston, Timothy Grimes, Michael Gallo Jr., Grace and Greer Hanley; great-grandchildren, Jakob, Nolan and Hunter Grimes. Last but not least his beloved dog, Peenut.
Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
