Funeral Mass for Russell John (Russ) Vaccaro, 20, 31 Parkview Dr., Palm Coast, will be Wednesday morning (today) at 9 a.m. at the Mother Seton Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Thomas Cody officiating. Interment will be in the Flagler Palm Coast Memorial Gardens.

Russ was the son of Loretta Nora Vaccaro, Palm Coast, and Norbert Gerald Vaccaro, deceased. He was born in Washington D.C., on June 10, 1961, and grew up in Hillcrest Heights, Md. He passed away Sunday, May 2, as the result of an automobile accident.

In August of 1978, Russell and his family moved to Palm Cost. He greatly enjoyed spending this, his senior year at Flagler Palm Coast High School, especially his participation on the golfing team.
After graduation, he continued his education at Daytona Beach Community College and was employed by the Bunnell Thriftway.

Sespite the relatively short time he lived here, he made friends with just about everyone he met. Russell’s appreciation and love for his family and friends ca only be matched by their appreciation and love for him in return. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.

Russell was an exceptional brother to Laurie, Karen, Michael, Elleen, and especially Roger, his best friend. It gives us some comfort in rereading Russell’s 1979 annual, where he wrote “Life’s been good to me so far.”

Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, is in charge of arrangements.
