PALM COAST - Jean Agnes Valdez, 85, of Calusa Court, a pediatric nurse in New Jersey and Trinidad before her retirement, died Wednesday at Kindred Hospital, Green Cove Springs.

Mrs. Valdez was born in Port of Spall, Trinidad, and moved here in 1986 from Elizabeth, N.J. She was a member of Seventh­Day Adventist Church and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and cooking. Mrs. Valdez also enjoyed caring for and feeding the poor.

Survivors include five sons, Anthony, Palm Coast, Nigel, Roselle Park, N.J., Bernard, Phoenix, Richard, Toronto, and Robert, Trinidad; three daughters, Catherine Sagar, Elizabeth Massy and Joanna Valdez-Wei­land, all of Palm Coast; 10 grand­children; and two great-grandchildren.
