George Gordon Walker, 84, of Palm Coast passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. He was born on January 25, 1926 in New York, NY to the late George Daniel and Helen Walker (Maloney).

As a young man he served in the US Navy during WWII and Korea. His bravery was recognized and he was awarded 2 Purple Hearts. In 1993 he and his wife moved to the Palm Coast area from Howell Township, NJ.  He enjoyed building model airplanes, playing golf and cooking.   

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Ruth; sons, William and his wife Linda Walker of Virginia Beach, Robert and his wife Lori Walker of Suffolk, VA, James Gordon Walker of NC; Donald and his wife LaRose of Roy, UT; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Donations in his name may be made to the Flagler Humane Society #1 Shelter Drive Palm Coast, FL. 32164.
