Funeral Service for Joseph Wasserman 90 of Palm Coast will be held on Friday June 13 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Roads S. Flagler Beach. Burial will be in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wasserman, formerly of Grand Rapids MI, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Bush Wasserman, his parents, Paul and Fannie Wasserman and two brothers, Phillip and Louis.

Survivors include four daughters, Nancy Horwich (Richard) of East Hampton, NY, Margie Wasserman, (Neal Gendler) of Minneapolis MN, Debbie Mueller (Michael) of Beverly Hills, CA and Julie Wasserman of Austin, TX, four grandchildren, Danielle Bellenoue (Benoit) of Utila, Honduras, Jason Gendler of Los Angeles, CA, Aaron Gendler of Minneapolis MN and Rachael Mueller, a great-­grandson, Maxim Bellenoue and a cousin, Lois Morton of Long Island NY.

Joe joined his father's luggage business in Grand Rapids and in the 1960's became a real estate broker. After retirement, he and Beulah moved to Palm Coast where in retirement they continued their avid tennis playing, world travel, ballroom dancing, bridge and devotion to their children and grandchildren. Joe joined the Palm Coast Lions Club and devoted more time to his lifelong love of chess, becoming a grand master.
