POUGHKEEPSIE – Wayne W. Waszczak, 48, of Poughkeepsie, NY died Sunday, April 21 2013 at St. Frances Hospital. Wayne was born on September 4. 1964 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Edward and Corrine Caputo Waszczak, and he was a graduate of Roosevelt School in Yonkers.
He has been a local resident since 2004 and was previously of Mt. Vernon and Yonkers, NY.
Wayne married Christine M. Grossi on September 17, l995 in Mt. Vernon, NY and she survives him at home. Wayne had worked at the Nyack Hospital as an ultrasound technician. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church and was an avid sports fan. He loved hockey and lacrosse.
Wayne survived by his wife Christine at home, his son and daughter Tyler and Isabelle Waszczak at home, his mother Corrine of Palm Coast, FL, his brother Thomas Waszczak of Fort Wayne, IN and his sister Cindy Dee of C’T, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Edward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Church. Burial is private and at the convenience of the Family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the family on behalf of Tyler and Isabelle for their further education.
