BUNNELL -- Leslie P. "Les" Waterman, 80, of Old Haw Creek Road, a retired building contractor and former building trades teacher for 10 years at Flagler Palm Coast High School, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital-Flagler. 

Mr. Waterman, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, was born in Jamestown, N.Y., and moved to this area in 1956 from Kinniconick, Ky. A member of the Florida Trails Association, he hiked more than 10,000 miles. 

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Audrey; two sons, John, Bunnell, and Daniel, Flagler Beach; a brother, Doug, Jamestown; two sisters, Ora Stanford, Bunnell, and Bernice Gastol, El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
