PALM COAST - Michael John Weinbel, 85, of Wayland Place, a retired truck driver for Shell Oil, died Feb. 28 at Indigo Manor, Daytona Beach.

Mr. Weinbel, a Navy veteran of World War II, was born in Passaic, N.J., and came here from 1986 from Clifton, N.J. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8696 and the Moose Lodge No. 2577. He enjoyed trains, swimming, NASCAR and football.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary; two daughters, Michele LaMonica, Palm Coast, and Joann Renzi, Jacksonville; a sister, Kay Buenzli, Palm Coast; and a grandchild.
