He was born on October 2, 1926 in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late Harry and Celia Wild.

As a young man he served in the US Navy during peacetime, he then earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and worked for 35 years as a CPA/Auditor for the General Accounting Office, United States Government. Upon his retirement he and his wife moved to the Palm Coast area from Fairfax, VA in 1986. Jack was a gifted wood worker and made many home furnishings and other beautiful craft. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his happy disposition.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Isabel; cousin, Dr. Philip Marcus and wife Audrey of Palm Coast; several nieces, nephews, sister-in-law and his beloved kitties: Lolita, Cookie and Pretty Girl. He also will be missed by his many loyal friends living in other states. Jack was preceded in death by his sisters Frances and Selma and brother Alvin

His wife wishes to thank the Florida Flagler Hospice/Stuart Meyer Hospice for their outstanding and loving care provided to Jack by Michelle, Vanessa, Chaplain Earl and Monica through long four months. With special thanks and gratitude to Ms. Monica Fonseka - his and my angel - who took care of him with loving devotion until his last breath. His wife wrote and read this poem
at his gravesite:

I told you this so many times before
When you could hear me then …
and hold my hand
I will love you forever, I said
Under the moon and stars
But then, the angels came to take you away
That Monday night
Leaving me alone, cold, full of fright
I lost your warmth, your soft touch …
The eternal sleep closed your eyes … took your heart
And I was left there … without my only love …
You can not hear me now … and hold my hand
I will love you forever … I will say it again
Under the moon and stars
Until the angels come to take me away
Any … any … night
There you will be … with your warmth and soft touch
Waiting for me … for one last eternal embrace
Forever together … at the Gate of Blue Skies.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Florida Flagler Hospice, Flagler Humane Society or Temple Beth Shalom. He was laid to rest at Flagler Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
