A Memorial Service celebrating the life of William L. Wolcott, 92, of Flagler Beach will be held on Tuesday, February 16 at 10:30 AM in the Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, 1520 S. Daytona Ave., Flagler Beach. Interment will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens with Military Honors rendered by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.

Mr. Wolcott, a resident of Flagler Beach since 1972 coming from Manchester CT, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. He was born on July 8, 1917 in Rutland VT a son of the late Fred and Frances Watters Wolcott.

Bill along with his wife, Gail were the co-owners of Wolcott Real Estate on Flagler Beach for many years. He was a member of the Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. Affectionately known as "Grumpy" by his family and friends, Bill enjoyed boating, eating out, listening to karaoke, and taking care of his dog and companion for many years, Suzie.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gail; one daughter, Dorothy Dickinson of S. Daytona; one son, Dana Wolcott of Tucson AZ; two step-daughters, Penny Means of Port Orange and Vicki Stevenson of Ormond Beach; and four grandchildren, Melissa, Elda, Matthew and Christie Lynn; and two great-grandchildren, Jesse and Heather.

The family suggested memorial contributions to the Flagler Humane Society, 1 Shelter Drive, Palm Coast, FL 32137 or the Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, 1520 S. Daytona Ave, Flagler Beach FL 32136 in memory of Bill Wolcott.
