FLAGLER BEACH - Daniel W. Wortman, 71, of North Third Street, a supervisor for East Ohio Gas Co. be­fore retiring, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, Ormond Beach.

Mr. Wortman was horn in Wadsworth, Ohio, and came here 11 years ago from Ashtabula, Ohio. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Sara; two daughters, Amy Bragg, Jacksonville, and Sheryl, Florida; two sons, Thomas John, Chambersburg, Pa., and Daniel, Georgia; a stepson; Lawrence Whitacre, North Las Vegas; five sisters, Katherine Glaizer, Dade City, Nancy Storch, San Antonia, Betty Lambert, Jefferson, Ohio, Eleanor Bernarde, Ashtabula, and Virginia Maycroft, Michigan; two brothers, William, Flagler Beach, and Jack, Spring Hill; and several grandchildren.

WORTMAN, DANIEL W. - Graveside funeral service for Daniel W. Wortman, 71, Flagler Beach, who died Wednesday, February 7, 1996, at Memorial Hospital. Ormond Beach, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Flagler Palms Memo­rial Gardens, with the Rev. John H. Capo, pastor of Community Memorial Church, officiating. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8696, Palm Coast, will be conducting the military honors. Visitation at the Craig Funeral Home Chapel will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., Friday.

Mr. Wortman was born in Wadsworth, Ohio, and moved to Flagler Beach 11 years ago from Ashtabula, Ohio. He retired from the East Ohio Gas Company, where he had served as supervisor for many years. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sara, Flagler Beach; two daughters, Amy Bragg, Jacksonville, and Sheryl, Florida; two sons, Thomas John Wortman, Chambersburg, Pa., and Daniel Wortman, Georgia; one stepson, Lawrence Whitacre. North Las Vegas, Nev.; five sisters, Katherine Glaizer, Dade City, Nancy Storch, San Antonia, Fla., Betty Lambert, Jefferson, Ohio, Eleanor Bernarde, Ashtabula, and Virginia Maycroft, Michigan; two brothers, William Wortman, Flagler Beach, and Jack Wortman, Spring Hill, Fla.; and several grandchildren.

Craig Funeral Home, 511 South Old Kings Road, is in charge of arrangements.
