Russell L. Yelvington, 62, 201 Lambert Avenue, Flagler Beach, died Friday morning at Bunnell General Hospital.
Born in Titusville, Florida, he moved to Flagler Beach 29 years ago from Daytona Beach. He was a veteran of World War II, member of Bunnell Masonic Lodge No. 200 F&AM, and was a York Rite Mason. He was a life member of DAV Chapter 84, Holly Hill; and a member of Flagler Beach First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Wright, New Smyrna; Mrs. Lydia Smith, Jacksonville; and Mrs. Beatrice Lyons, Flagler Beach; and a brother Thomas M. Yelvington, New Smyrna.
Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in the Flagler Beach First Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Hall officiating. Graveside services were conducted by Bunnell Lodge No. 200 F&AM. Interment was at Hope Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were George Wickline, James Townsend, Ray Mercer, John Rice, E. A. Edmonson and Otis Hunter. Honorary pallbearers were John Hill, Robert Larson, J. K. Hyde, Benny Bush, Jr., H. L. Herndon, Jack Boggess and Dave Clay.
Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge.
