Alberta Bass, Bunnell, died July 27 at Bunnell General Hospital. Mrs. Bass had been a native and lifelong resident of Bunnell.

Survivors include a brother, Warsaw Hodges, St. Augustine; step-daughters, Mrs. Ethel Jones, Bunnell and Mrs. Iola Bryant, Green Cove Springs; step-sons, James Bryant Miami, and Richard Bass, Fort Pierce; nieces, Mrs. Dorothy Moore, Mrs. Charlie Mae and Dorothy Jean Spearmon, all of Lawtey, and Mrs. Queen Golden, Lake Butler; nephews, Charles Spearmon, Seville, Jonathan Spearmon, DeLand, and Paul Spearmon, Bunnell; a cousin, Mrs. Susie Mae Smith, Daytona, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. James Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Hymon, officiating. Burial was at the Masonic Cemetery. Leo C. Chase Funeral Home, St. Augustine, was in charge of arrangements.
