Queen Ester Spearmon Brown

http://mi-cache.legacy.com/legacy/images/Cobrands/StAugustine/Photos/QGS_224326.jpgQueen Ester Spearmon Brown, born on July 8, 1939, in St. Joe (Palm Coast), Fla., to the late Charlie and Lonnie Mae Spearmon, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2010. She attended the public schools of Flagler County, and lived most of her life in Bunnell. She was united in marriage to Joe Brown, Jr. on Sept. 25, 1982. Sister Brown was an active member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a choir member and Deaconess. She was very proud of her service to the St. James Baptist Association and its members. After retiring from the Flagler County School District, Sister Brown enjoyed fishing and cooking for her family and friends until her health failed.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 100 Carter Street (U.S. 1 South), Bunnell, Fla., at 11 a.m.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving and devoted husband, Deacon Joe Brown, Jr.; daughters, Kimberly Lacy (Charles), Jerri Stanley (Albert), and Wilma Brown (Melvin), Bunnell, Dorothy Green (Wayne), Lake Butler, Fla.; sons, Neal N. Golden, Lawtey, Fla., Michael Jordon, Jacksonville, Fla., Joe Brown, III (Charlotte), Norman Brown (Shaun), and Ricshay Nelson (Lois), Bunnell,; 29 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Moore (Jesse), Lawtey, Min. Charlie M. Jenkins, Huntsville, Ala., and Dorothy J. Griggs, Gainesville; brothers, Joe Nathan (Linda), Tampa, Fla., and Paul (Mary), Spearmon, Sr., Bunnell; god-children, Frankie Wilson and Rodger Jenkins, (Juanita), Bunnell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ben Brown, Sr., Bunnell, Ivory Brown (Barbara), and Betty Brown, Alapaha, Ga. She also leaves to mourn her passing, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.


She was preceded in death by her son, Alvon Golden, her parents, Charlie & Lonnie Mae Spearmon, and oldest brother, Charles Sylvester Spearmon.
