Eugene Golden, 55, Daytona Beach, Fla., died April 5, 2011 at Halifax Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Golden was born April 29, 1955 to the late John Golden and Georgia Ann Wright. He graduated from Mainland High School and was affiliated with Pentecostal Church of God in Christ. Mr. Golden was often known for his kind and humble spirit. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Espanola, Fla., the Rev. Dr. Frank Giddens, eulogist. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery in Palm Coast, Fla. A viewing will be held from 5-6 p.m. today at the church and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

He is survived by daughters, Vanetta Golden, Hinesville, Ga., and Brittany Golden, Daytona Beach; brothers, Cary Wright, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Alfonso Golden, Alabama; and six grandchildren.

Coleman's Mortuary of Hastings, Fla., is in charge of the arrangements.
